Enterprising Latinas creates pathways of opportunities for women in Tampa Bay. We are founded and are led by women of color, Latinas, who understand the value of recognizing and lifting up diversity in all the areas where we work and have impact. Practicing diversity and inclusion allows Enterprising Latinas to fulfill its mission and achieve our goals in the community.
We believe Enterprising Latinas serves as a hub and catalyst for community action that invites everyone from all backgrounds to be part of the change they want to see happen for themselves and the place they call home.
We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals. We believe all of our members have knowledge, skills and the capacity to do and achieve great things. We value and respect the unique contributions, experiences and perspectives individuals bring to the work of improving conditions and reaching economic prosperity for themselves, their families and their community.
We strive to accept others without biases based on differences of any kind. We pledge ourselves to creating and maintaining an environment that respects diverse traditions, heritages, and experiences.
We commit to equitable treatment and elimination of discrimination in all its forms at all organizational levels and throughout all programs. We strive to build inclusion by working intentionally and deliberately to understand and facilitate the engagement of people who may face different challenges to participate in our programs, as well as by ensuring we can connect and adapt available or new resources to local and personal circumstances.
We support the growth of a diverse staff and board because we know we need a robust and varied skillset and collection of backgrounds on our team to address a wide range of community needs.
We commit to provide on-going training to staff that we can be effective implementing our anti-racist work. We also commit to individual and organizational efforts to build and maintain an environment that is inclusive of all, that embraces cultural differences and promotes respect, dignity, fairness, and equality.
