AboutRising Women’s Fund (RWF) is a non-profit loan fund created in August 2023 to further the charitable purposes of its affiliate Enterprising Latinas, Inc. (ELI).
ELI was founded in 2009 to create pathways of opportunity for women in Tampa Bay, particularly Latinas, by teaching new skills, creating networks of mutual support, and advocating for innovative solutions to promote economic mobility and equity. RWF is committed to the fundamental goal of the CDFI movement, as well as its mission expanding economic opportunity for women, underserved people, people of color, and low-income communities by supporting the growth and capacity of small business owners through community development lending, financial education, small business technical assistance, and access to capital. RWF’s mission of serving people of low-and-modest means from underserved Census Tracts is consistent with the mission of the CDFI Fund of serving underserved populations and communities. |
As an emerging CDFI, RWF will fulfill its mission in several major ways, but primarily through
RWF empowers small business owners to improve their credit and grow without falling victim to high-interest rates from predatory lenders. By offering responsible loans and quality financial education, RWF ensures compliance with all regulatory standards and follows effective lending practices to support underserved borrowers.
